That combination puts sustained pressure on SAS urgencias departments in summer, and waits at the busiest coastal centres lengthen considerably between June and September. The city itself has grown a significant remote-working community in recent years, adding year-round demand for prescriptions and routine care to what was historically a seasonal pattern. Andalusian summer heat is severe and inland excursions from the coast catch visitors out regularly.
