Aciclovir / Zovirax

Aciclovir tablets need a prescription in Spain, as in the UK and the US; Spain has 200 mg and 800 mg tablets but no 400 mg tablet. Every product sold under the Zovirax name, including Zovirax cream, needs a prescription in Spain, and so do generic aciclovir creams. Non-prescription 5% products licensed for cold sores are sold as Zovicrem Labial cream, Viruderm ointment and Lavirk gel, plus Zoviduo (with hydrocortisone); in the UK the cold-sore cream is sold as Zovirax Cold Sore Cream.
