Diclofenac tablets in Spain need a prescription: Voltaren 50 mg, Voltaren Retard 75 and 100 mg, Dolo-Voltaren and generics, as in the UK and Ireland. Diclofenac pain gels sold without a prescription include Voltadol 11.6 mg/g and Voltadol Forte 23.2 mg/g (licensed for adults and adolescents over 14), which match UK Voltarol Emulgel P 1.16% and Voltarol 12 Hour Emulgel P 2.32% in active substance and strength. Voltaren Emulgel is no longer authorised in Spain.
