Mupirocin / Bactroban

Bactroban 2% (20 mg/g) ointment is sold in Spain under the same name, as are Plasimine and generic ointments such as Mupirocina ISDIN; nasal ointment is sold as Bactroban Nasal and Bacnas. Every mupirocin product in Spain needs a prescription and none is sold without one, as in the UK, Ireland and the US. Spain has no mupirocin cream: UK Bactroban cream and US mupirocin cream have no Spanish equivalent, and a doctor decides what to use instead.
