Utrogestan / Prometrium

In Spain, the name Utrogestan is used only for vaginal capsules (200, 300 and 400 mg) licensed for fertility and pregnancy uses, not for HRT—it is not the UK oral Utrogestan 100 mg capsule. Spanish product information lists oral micronised progesterone for use alongside estrogen in women who have a womb as Progeffik and Seidigestan (100 and 200 mg); US Prometrium has the same active substance and strengths, but is not sold in Spain under that name. Both state they must not be used with a peanut or soy allergy, so tell the doctor about any allergy; they are prescription-only in Spain, and a doctor can prescribe them if suitable.
