Seek in-person or emergency care if your child has difficulty breathing, high fever in infants under 3 months, signs of dehydration, severe allergic reactions, injuries requiring physical examination, or any symptoms that seem life-threatening.

Have your child present for the consultation. Prepare a list of symptoms, when they started, any medications your child is taking, and their vaccination history. A thermometer and good lighting will help the doctor assess your child.
